Report on “HAMAMATSU U18 ROCK FESTIVAL Wakasama and Himesama”
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, “HAMAMATSU U18 ROCK FESTIVAL Wakasama and Himesama” was held!
The event followed “Tonosama,” which was held in November 2025.
“Wakasama and Himesama” was held to enable students to build on their experience at Tonosama and further develop their ability to plan and manage live performances themselves.
“Wakasama” had previously been held in February 2025. This time, “Himesama,” which limited performers to girls’ bands, was held at the same venue on the same day!
Before the live performances, the executive committee members and performers gathered to meet one another and raise their spirits for the event ahead.
The event opened with performance by the “Wakasama and Himesama” executive committee members.
The “Wakasama and Himesama” executive committee members had originally served on the Tonosama Executive committee. Although they attended different schools, they formed connections and became a closer through Tonosama. This apparently inspired them to form a band for one day only for Wakasama and Himesama.
Next came “Himesama,” featuring three girls’ bands.
Their performances included song choices characteristic of girls’ bands.
After that, nine groups performed as part of “Wakasama.”
For some of the bands, this was their first live performance, but they could be seen enjoying the music from the bottom of their hearts.
It was a day filled with rock performed by young people in the midst of their youth!
