Appointment of Chief Juror for the 13th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Autumn 2027)

Ms. KODAMA Momo was appointed as the chief juror for the 13^th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, which is to be held in autumn 2027. She was awarded her Certificate of Appointment by Mayor NAKANO Yusuke.

Alongside the new chief juror, there are currently plans to continue with organizing executive council meetings and creating an implementation overview of the competition. Please keep an eye out for any new and exciting developments!

Hamamatsu International Piano Competition

The first competition took place in 1991 to commemorate the 80^th anniversary of Hamamatsu achieving city status and was an international cultural project befitting a city like Hamamatsu, one which boasts such a rich history and tradition of music and musical instruments. It has been held every three years since and during the 12^th iteration in 2024, Ms. SUZUKI Manami became the first Japanese winner of the competition.
